Some fighters really can’t accept defeat not after they experienced it twice by the person who conquered them. Miguel Cotto a four-four time world champion would like to fight the pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao again to reclaim the glory that was taken from him.
Cotto lost to Pacquiao last 2009 via knockout in the 12th round. He took a lot of heada punches that really weakened him and hurt him badly that caused him to stagger in the ring. The Filipino boxer was leading in the scorecards by that time so even though Cotto survived the round he will still suffer a loss. The Puerto Rican boxer only have two losses in his career, one he received from Antonio Margarito who used loaded gloves to defeat him and one from Pacquiao who knocked him out. He had 36 wins and 28 KO’s, this shows that Cotto is one of the tpop fighters today in boxing.
December this year he will be again facing Margarito and if he defeats the Mexican boxer without any performance enhancement drugs or loaded gloves he would possibly fight Pacquiao next.
“Cotto’s going to fight Margarito, then a rematch with Manny Pacquiao, or maybe a fight with Saul Alvarez,” said Cotto’s trainer Manny Steward.
